This policy explains how SaveMyTube handles information when you use the SaveMyTube Android app and savemytube.com.
Information we process
- App telemetry: a randomly generated installation identifier, app version, Android version, device model, first/last activity time, and country derived from the connection IP address.
- Website operations: download and update-check events, country, time, and a one-way salted hash of the connection IP. We do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics database.
- Support: information you choose to send when contacting us.
Information that stays on your device
Browser cookies and history, downloader cookies.txt files, proxy configuration, download URLs, Queue contents, and Library records are stored locally. They are not uploaded by the telemetry service.
Why we process it
We use minimal telemetry to count active installations, understand country-level distribution, deliver compatible updates, measure APK downloads, protect the service from abuse, and diagnose reliability. We do not sell personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or use cross-site tracking.
Uninstall estimates
Android does not send us an uninstall notification. The dashboard marks an installation inactive after 30 days without a heartbeat. This is an estimate and may include unused, offline, reset, or replaced devices.
Retention and security
Detailed analytics events should be retained only as long as operationally necessary; the recommended deployment job removes events after 180 days. Administrative access is protected by hashed passwords, CSRF controls, secure cookies, and HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
You can disable anonymous app statistics in SaveMyTube Settings. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability by contacting privacy@savemytube.com. We may need to verify the request. Because identifiers are pseudonymous, we may be unable to locate a record without the installation ID.
International use and children
The service may process information where our hosting providers operate. SaveMyTube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
